Security industry growth points: campus security, smart elderly care？

With the development of technology and time, the boundary of security is constantly expanding. Although the progress of security projects in the first half of this year has slowed down, some new opportunities have also emerged behind it.

Campus Security

Campus security is to ensure campus safety by using various hardware facilities such as video surveillance system, anti-theft alarm, access control system, patrol system, emergency assistance, call system, intercom system, and one-card system, etc. Due to a series of campus violence incidents, it has become a hot topic of concern to all sectors of society.

On June 1, 2022, the new national standard "Safety Protection Requirements for Primary and Secondary Schools and Kindergartens" was officially released. For the first time, the campus safety protection area was extended from the inside to the gates and surrounding areas. In the latest standards released by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standards Administration, 16 parts and areas were designated as key points of school safety prevention.

These include: outside the school gate; the school perimeter; the school entrance and exit; the guard room (communication room); outdoor concentrated activity areas; teaching areas; student dormitory buildings (areas); kindergarten activity rooms and dormitories; canteen operation rooms, food preparation rooms, sample retention rooms, storage rooms, and dining areas; storage rooms and laboratories for highly toxic chemicals, explosives, and drugs; storage areas for valuables; storage areas for confidential information; water, electricity, gas, heat and other equipment rooms; security monitoring rooms and network rooms; motor vehicle parking areas and non-motor vehicle parking areas, etc.

Smart Elderly Care

According to the data of the seventh national census, my country's population aged 60 and above has reached 260 million, accounting for 18.70% of the total population, and the degree of population aging has further deepened.

In October 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the National Health Commission and other three ministries issued the "Action Plan for the Development of Smart Health Care Industry (2021-2025)", which clearly proposed to expand the supply of smart elderly health care products, including health management products with trend analysis, intelligent early warning and other functions, elderly care monitoring products with behavioral monitoring, safety care and other functions, and home service robots that can improve the quality of life of the elderly.

In February 2022, the State Council issued the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of National Aging Services and Elderly Care Service System", which pointed out that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, my country's average life expectancy will increase to over 77.9 years. The plan pointed out that a basic elderly care service network will be strengthened, while expanding the coverage of inclusive elderly care services.

 The White Paper on the Development of China's Elderly Care Industry released by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences shows that the scale of my country's elderly care industry is expected to reach 13 trillion yuan by 2030. According to data from the Ministry of Civil Affairs at the end of 2021, there are currently more than 300,000 community elderly care service institutions and facilities in my country, and my country's future smart elderly care market is vast.
